OnePlus 6 is a competitor to Samsung Galaxy S9, iPhone X and the upcoming device Xiaomi Mi 7. It is confirmed that OnePlus 6 will have a notch on the front side and the processor will be Snapdragon 845. It is close to the new design which is followed by many Android devices. Design of OnePlus 6
Earlier in this month, few screenshots were leaked and by looking at them we got many ideas about the design of OnePlus 6. It is said that the device will have 19:9 display as compared to 18:9 fullscreen display which was seen on OnePlus5T.
The upcoming device of OnePlus will have an iPhone X like a notch on the front side with the front-facing camera. Recently, the company posted a teaser which shows the handset top the OnePlus 5T. The picture shows that the Alert Slider is moved from the left edge to the right. The leaked info shows the glass design on the back side, a large fingerprint sensor which is below the rear camera and a vertical dual rear camera setup.
It is expected that the upcoming device will have a 6.28-inch display with the resolution of 1080×2280. Followed by the design, OnePlus 6 will likely be based on Oppo R15.
Water Resistance
In a tweet on Monday, OnePlus hinted at the presence of water resistance on the OnePlus 6. The company tweeted out, "Don't you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains? So do we ;)." While the teaser does not explicitly mention the standard of water-resistance, we could expect it to be at least an IP67 rating considering it is the norm with current-generation Android OEM-branded flagships.
Separately, first official camera samples of the OnePlus 6 were revealed to the public via a post on Weibo by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. Interestingly, all the shots posted online have been taken during the day time under sunlight hence do not reveal the low light performance of this smartphone's camera yet. And, naturally, we could not obtain any EXIF, XMP, and other metadata information from the images posted. The photos are said to have been taken at the Stanford campus in California and involve shots of flower beds and buildings.
OnePlus 6 Specifications
On talking about specifications, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It will have 6GB and 64GB RAM with an inbuilt storage of 8GB and 256GB RAM. OnePlus 6 will run on the OxygenOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Later in this year, it may get an Android upgrade.
One of the reports suggests, that it will support downlink speeds of 1.2 Gbps and Uplink speeds of 150 Mbps. However, bringing Cat 16 Gigabit LTE. OnePlus 6 will have latest Qualcomm’s X20 LTE modem. The earlier report says, that the fingerprint sensor will be under display but now it looks it is not.
No details about the specification of image sensors are leaked yet.
OnePlus 6 Features
There are no more details leaked about the features but the Face Unlock feature is definitely one feature which we will see in the upcoming device. Dash Charge, one of the OnePlus USPs will be there in OnePlus 6. It will get an upgrade or not it is not confirmed.
OnePlus 6 Price
According to the leaks from China, the price of OnePlus 6 will be CNY 3,299 (Around Rs. 34,200) for 64GB. The other variants 128GB and 256GB will have the price tag of CNY 3,799 (around Rs. 39,300) and CNY 4,399 (about Rs. 45,600). However, the most expensive smartphone from the Chinese brand will be OnePlus 6.
A video of the device which came out earlier this month showed and confirmed that the Smartphone will be exclusive on Amazon in India.
